Swansea University, School of Health Science
The School, formerly known as the Department of Nursing, Midwifery and Health Care was formed in January 1992 from the amalgamation of three schools of nursing managed by West Glamorgan, East Dyfed and Powys Health Authorities. The merger of the Department with the Centre for Philosophy and Health Care, Medical Physics and the Institute of Health Care Management from the University of Swansea and the Centre for Health Informatics from the University of Aberystwyth led to the re-formation of the School in 1997.
